GUITARS

1975 MARTIN NEW YORKER 016-NY

This is an awesome parlor guitar with a 1 7/8'“ width neck similar to a classical guitar. These guitars were sold by Martin in the 1960s and 1970s during the folk revival.

These guitars originally did not come with a pickguard; we added one. This guitar has been fitted with a modded Dearmond 220 pickup. The distance between the pickup and guitar string makes a big difference in the slide tone. You can see the original 1970s brochure for the pickup.

We changed the tuners and set up the action so you can get a clean slide sound and also fret the strings. We use D’addario silk and steel strings with slightly higher gauges on the top strings.

1960s 12 STRING COLUMBIA DOBRO D-12E

We believe this guitar is from the 1960s and manufactured in Gardena, California after the dobro brand was sold to Mosrite. The guitar is unique because it has an adjustment screw on the back that lets you tilt the neck back and forth for easy string height adjustment.

When we purchased this guitar, we had it shipped from the east coast. When it arrived, it was wrapped in a blanket. It did not look like this. After hours of cleaning and waxing, the finish really stood out. We were surprised at how amazing this guitar looked.

The pickup in the guitar gives the guitar a really unique tone. The pickup may be a dearmond. Some 12 string dobros have a round pickup while this have square pickup. We use D’addario nickel strings on this guitar.

The original stamped cone in the guitar was pretty crushed so we replaced it with a spun cone. What a tone difference that made. Other mods to the guitar included pots and wiring.

We found an original brochure that includes the original list price of $399 for this model in the 1960s. Considering the rarity of these guitars, they have gone way up in value.

1980s STRAT

This guitar was modified with Texas Special pickups. It is wired out of phase, which cuts out a lot of rf. We use d’addario nickel strings on this guitar.

The action is set so you can play slide and fret the guitar.

The bridge pickup really stands out in a mix. The pots sound great for volume swells. The pots and wiring were upgraded.

2006 GIBSON SG 61’ REISSUE

This guitar is 100% stock with original pickups that are amazing. A custom setup really makes this guitar playable.

The strings are DR Pure Blues (.010-.046) with replacement of the .010 with .011 and .013 with .014.
